Travel: Thailand - Krabi

This was a laid-back trip and the resort was in Klong Muang, a secluded, long and narrow beach in Nong Thale. It’s at the farthest end and has a small island in front of it which means the beach was pretty much reserved for their own guests.

Basically, if you’re not a fan of extreme water sports, there isn’t much to do unless you take a boat ride to Kho Phi Phi or scooter off to Ao Nang and explore more. There were good seafood restaurants, beach side massage and local marts around but do not expect crazy night life and beach party, even if you bring your own disco ball and blast those Thai club oontz oontz remix sets, it just won’t fit in.

The beach was tranquil and spread out straight for long walks, also a perfect spot for spectacular sunset view. Tidal range is wide too and once I almost trapped on one side of the beach while on an evening walk, within 10 minutes, water filled up and my path was gone. Nevertheless, the sea is shallow and rocky thus it’s kind of dangerous to swim, the best is to utilize the resort's pool.

Somehow you would feel the time freezes especially in the afternoon, wave lapping and fan whirling, no tour groups and people just wandered off nonchalantly. Pick up a good book and use the quiet to think about something important I would say, but the absence of bustle is truly a treasure.
